Recently, the lithium battery electrolyte solvent VOCs treatment project of Jiangsu Spec contracted by Yurcent Environment was officially put into operation. The purification efficiency of RTO is above 99.5%, and the environmental protection governance objectives were achieved with high standards.
Project Background:
Jiangsu Spec New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Hi-tech Spring Material Industry Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Hi-tech Group,one of the top 500 enterprises in China. In the plant area,there are mainly Lithium battery electrolyte solvent and its supporting projects, special electronic chemical projects and other national strategic industry projects.
The treatment plan of Yurcent environment is mainly used to treat the exhaust gas generated by the company’s lithium battery electrolyte solvent and its supporting projects(phase three),including 40000 tons per year for battery grade vinyl carbonate unit, 60000 tons per year for battery grade methyl ethyl carbonate/diethyl carbonate unit, and 70000 tons per year for dimethyl carbonate unit.

Dimethyl carbonate, Methanol, Ethanol, Diethyl Carbonate, Methyl ethyl carbonate, Ethylene carbonate, Ethylene oxide, Carbon dioxide, etc.
Scheme:
Inerting dilution+Single 100000Nm³/h rotary RTO+Ultra-low emission adsorption+Waste heat recovery boiler(reserved)。
Treatment effect:
After debugging and operation of the project,the NHMC emission value after RTO treatment had always stable at≤10mg/m³,which is obtained through multiple performance index test and continuous online detection of VOCs emission concentration 24 hours a day. The RTO purification is up to 99.5% or more,the environmental protection objectives had been achieved with high standards.
The“Small volume inerting dilution” and “outlet ultra-low emission technology” used in the project are proprietary technology independently developed by Yurcent Environment. Yurcent environment has rich VOCs treatment cases in the lithium battery electrolyte solvent industry. This project has also set up a high-quality model project for the VOCs treatment of lithium battery electrolyte solvent industry.
